Ryan Lochte has made quite a splash in the world of swimming. The 26-year-old Gainesville resident has earned the United States six Olympic medals, three of which are gold. In 2009, Lochte broke competitor Michael Phelps' world record in the 200-meter individual medley, and in 2010, Swimming World Magazine named him the World Swimmer of the Year, a title Phelps held for four years. These successes combined with Lochte's passion for the sport motivate him to stay ahead of the competition as he trains for the FINA World Championships in July and the 2012 Olympics.(Video and photos by Kathryn Stolarz)
